How We Work

Is pressure washing bad for your house?

High pressure on siding can be. It can force water in behind vinyl, crack Hardie board, damage window seals, and strip paint. That is why we soft wash houses instead of pressure washing them.

The pressure washer itself is not the problem. Using high pressure on the wrong surface is. Concrete can take it. Siding, roofs, decks, and window trim cannot. Water driven behind your siding sits in the wall where you cannot see it, and that is how you get mold and rot.

The only time we use high pressure is on concrete. Everything else on your property gets soft washed with low pressure and a cleaning solution that does the actual work.

If you are getting quotes and someone plans to run high pressure across your siding or shingles, ask them what PSI they are using and what their insurance covers. We carry $2,000,000 in general liability and we have washed 8000+ properties without needing it for siding damage. The method matters.
